Domains add additional control over what users are able to see, access and update within an aXcelerate instance.
These domains can be applied to multiple different parts of the system, Class, Workshop, User, and Contacts to name a few.
Please see this guide for instructions on how to create, update & delete domains.

Users Domains
First and foremost, when using domains to control what users can view, the domain that should be applied to each user will determine the content they see within the platform.
It is important to note that objects within aXcelerate that have no domain applied will not be visible to users who have been allocated a domain. Those users without a domain are able to access all without restriction.

Class Domains
Domains applied to Classes will affect the ability to view both the class and any of its enrolments.

Workshop Domains
Domains applied to Workshops will affect the ability to view both the class and any of its enrolments.
Linked Classes for accredited workshops will also not be accessible, provided the domain is also applied to the class. This is automated if selected at the time of workshop creation.
Room Domains
Domains applied to Rooms will affect the ability to use, view or update based on the active user's domain.
Partner Domains
Domains differ when it comes to Partners, domains are required instead of being an option.
Partners guide.
Contact Domains
Contact domains are not available by default, please contact the Support Centre if you would like this feature to be enabled.
Contact domains can be used to control which contacts users can view, this is usually used for privacy reasons, however, if incorrectly managed it can make a user be unable to view their own contact page if their user and contact domains don’t match.
For privacy concerns, it is recommended to instead use the feature “System Fields” to obfuscate data from specific user roles. System Fields guide.
Calendar Domains
This allows for viewing events linked to a specific list of domains. This option will only be displayed for system users who are not linked to a domain themselves. A filter for No Domain is also able to be selected.

Report Domains
Users that have a domain & access to the reports builder will only be able to report on data that falls within their domain.
Those without a domain are able to use a filter on reports to include/exclude data from specified domains.
Finance Code Domains
Domains can be applied to each finance code, this automates the application of the assigned domain to each invoice or credit note line item that uses a finance code with a domain.
