    Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your feedback and engagement on this post.

I'm excited to announce that we are introducing new fields to address this, which will be included in our Release, tomorrow night.

An additional section for Parent/Guardian has been introduced within the contact profile page. This can be prefilled by searching for and selecting an existing contact or entered manually to create a contact. This addition also means a Parent/Guardian field can be included within Agreements, templates and Contact Details - Warehoused report.

Further information on items included in the March 5th Release can be found here.

I am experiencing the same issue with sending invoices, need to be able to send to an entity other than the student as they are often not the payer (esp school aged students).

totally agree and support this feature request to update aXcelerate to be able to email emergency contacts (parents/guardians) from aXcelerate.  We do not wish to clog our system either with added contact details when the emergency contact is already listed against the contact.  There should be an 'envelop' next to the emergency name on the front contact page to enable emailing the emergency contact direct.  The details for the emergency contact should also be available to pull through against communications like templates, agreements and emails.

This is a great idea!  A good half or more of our clients are minors and we are currently using different DocuSign systems to send their guardians the declarations. We also did not want to add over a thousand additional contacts into aXcelerate just for a declaration.

We currently have custom fields for the parent/guardian details which work well, I just can't do anything with it besides adding the information within a template or a report. If there was an option to send agreements or templates to custom fields (i.e. alternative email) it would be extremely helpful.

I agree, with the increase in VETiS enrolments within schools this is vital requirement to need to have the option to email parents. We have created a custom field and are manually inputting the email address when we send an email however this limits us to individual emails and not being able to set up bulk workflows on general updates, marketing etc.

This is great progress! However, there are still two major gaps preventing this feature from being fully usable:

    1. The Parent field has not yet been implemented in the OEF. aX support mentioned that we still need to use the custom field and manually enter the information into the Parent field.

    2. Once the Parent’s Given Name and Parent’s Last Name are filled in, it appears that we can’t create a template using only the Given Name as a placeholder. This means that in some cases, email templates will display “Hi John Citizen” instead of “Hi John,”, even though the default sending agreement template can include only the Given Name. This is the same limitation we encountered with the Trainer field, which I raised six months ago in this forum post

Hopefully, this gets fixed soon so we can finally start using the feature!

We also can't send a copy of a template that is being sent to a student to the parent either using the new update, this would fix a lot of our issues. We currently need to add a parent's email address as the "alternative email address" in order to copy them into communications.

This must also be included in the Online enrolment form (WordPress plugin). The information must be captured at the time of enrolment for it to be useful and remove unnecessary steps and double handling of information.
