Learner Portal Background Image - A background image can now be set in the Learner Portal from the Learner Portal tab of your system settings. Similar to the Learner Portal logo, a different image can be used for light and dark mode. QR Code certificate validation (Ideas Forum)

QR codes can now be added to certificate templates within the certificate template builder. This will allow people to scan the QR code and view the details of the certificate and recipient to assist with the validation of the credentials. You can also go to a public page where you can input a student's surname and certificate number to validate credentials without a QR code.  AX-10486 - For clients using aXcelerate APIs to authenticate student users for their own portals, there are some big changes coming up. Please contact your account manager if you have custom integrations that utilise our user (API) endpoints.

AX-10598 - User management administrators will notice a new “migrated” column under the manage users listing page. For now, this column will flag any users who have usernames in use by other users of aXcelerate. It is recommended to manually update any username to be unique across the system in preparation for our migration to a centralised authentication system.

Once we migrate to this new system, users with non-unique usernames may have their usernames changed automatically by the system on login. They will be notified of this at this time and there will be a grace period to allow users to save their new credentials.

 

Improvements

AX-9880 - We now support adding students to in-house workshops via uploading an Excel spreadsheet. This will work exactly the same way in currently works with the in-house booking table, except the data will be provided by the spreadsheet.

AX-10386 - Added course and workshop resources to Dashboard “Student Resource“ tab in the new Learner Portal.

AX-10480 - Password strength requirements have been increased. In this next release, some users may be required to change their passwords. This is to improve security and help with a smoother transition when moving to a centralised authentication system. On login, users' passwords will be validated for their strength. Any password that does not pass the requirements will need to be changed. This will not yet affect API logins, however, this will change with a future release.

AX-10280 - In order to continue to improve security and eventually move to an even more performant solution, we have made a change in how usernames are assigned in aXcelerate. Going forward, all usernames must be unique across all client accounts. This means that your student, John Smith, might end up with a username such as john.smith12. To make creating user accounts easier we have added a check in the create user page which will check that the chosen name is unique.

AX-9884 - The main navigation menu for admin users in aXcelerate will now hide items in the menu according to the permissions each user has. The purpose of this change is to trim down the interface for users who have a limited permission set so they don't see areas they can't access. If a user does not have permission to access a particular area, the item will not be displayed in the main navigation menu. Also, if a user has no access to any areas within a particular tab e.g Reports, then the whole tab will be hidden. The permission to show an item in the navigation menu will most often be the 'View' permission of the associated area but will vary throughout the system. 

 

Improvements

AX-9786 - Clients can now upload new package versions against SCORM/TinCan courses. Any students that have not yet commenced or launched their SCORM/TinCan E-Learning will be registered into the latest version. Any student who have already commenced will keep the version they were on.

AX-10109 -  We have done an internal improvement to improve the integrity of displayed success or error messages.

AX-10113 - We have cleaned up the certificate name field to improve system security and stability with regards to XSS. 

AX-10118 - The magnifying glass icon in the eLearning view of a workshop has been replaced with the hyperlinked text of the eLearning enrolment status.  

AX-10327 - The contact finance view now has a new tab that uses a new report to group invoices, payments and commissions relating to class enrolments.

AX-10107 - We have tested our Moodle plugin and can confirm that it is compatible up to Moodle version 3.8.3+

However, a configuration update is highly recommended for existing Moodle plugin users With this release, we have updated aXcelerate to use the core version of the course update API. You do not need to update your plugin code but you should ensure your Moodle server allows aXcelerate to use this core function. Do do this:

• Log into Moodle
• Go to Site Administration > Plugins > Web Services > External Services and click "Functions" next to the external service you have defined for aXcelerate.
• Add the function core_course_update_courses if not added already and save.

This action can be safely done any time prior to our code release. After our release, aXcelerate will continue to use the old function if you haven't performed this update, however you may experience issues with newer versions of Moodle.

AX-10274 - For turbo clients only, we have added new field against classes: Class Assessors. When set, this will automatically assign these assessor to linked online assessments when enrolling students into the class. There will also be an option to bulk update assessors from a student's enrolment status page. This field will also be available - as a filter only - for most reports that include class details.

AX-10290 - We have removed the restriction for the build on attempts option so that this is now available for all Assessment Types. Note that any score on an item will cause that item to be copied to the new attempt. Students will be able to edit these submissions unless they received full marks, in which case it will be locked.

 

Improvements

AX-8885 - The Payment method is now displayed when looking at the details of an EzyPay subscription.

AX-9816 - We have fixed a performance issue with the class display for trainers. This performance improvement does mean a small change for some trainer users. Classes will display for trainers if they are set as the main trainer for the class, regardless of whether other trainers are set against each and every enrolment.

AX-9956 - We have now improved our client-side, browser check for the USI field to be the same as our server-side check. This will help users better catch typos when entering USIs for contacts. These checks are on both the contact update and the add in-house booking pages.

AX-10046 - Contact Schedules now supports hourly values to three decimal places. This is due to some contracts requiring this precision.

AX-10092 - A UI improvement has been made for displaying organisation names over a certain length on the Contact Update page.

AX-10103 - The student submission for a Marking Criteria question is now visible when viewing the results of an assessment in the new Learner Portal. 

AX-10111 - As part of our ongoing improvements to aXcelerate security, we have added cross-site scripting protection to the Merge Documents area.

AX-10128 - We have further improved client file storage usage tracking to take deletions into account. Clients can check their Approximate File Usage under System Settings > Account Statistics.

AX-10137 - Enforced redirect on students attempting to access direct URLs to content not enabled under the New Learner Portal flags (e.g. Show Assessments, Show Learning etc).

AX-10138 - Students will now be able to view event details on mobile phone in Learner Portal.

AX-10148 - A new condition option has been added for contact events: "User Role Type". This will enable users to configure automated tasks to run for contact events only if executed by users in specific role types, such as Administrators, Trainers, or Students.

AX-10154 - Online Assessments with a due date will now be displayed before those without a due date in the dashboard, course and unit view of the new Learner Portal.

AX-10155 - The “State“ field is now disabled in the new Learner Portal when the country selected is not  Australia.

AX-10160 - The venue organisation name has been added to the workshop location in the new Learner Portal.

AX-10161 - Completed standard assessments will no longer appear in the Assessments To Do section of the dashboard in the new Learner Portal.

AX-10181 - The permission for Online Assessments report has been updated to look at the Assessments View permission. Previously this was tied to the ELearning View permission. This change has been made for consistency reasons with the rest of aXcelerate.

AX-10275 - Tuition fees will now be set to $0.00 on the original enrolment when transferring a class enrollee.

AX-10298 - We have enabled accredited trainers for all clients. Now all clients can optionally set trainers for classes, enrolments and even unit enrolments.

AX-9686 - An issue was resolved where you could not re-activate a user that has active linked users in another account if the current user licence was at the limit. 

AX-10047 - An issue has been resolved with students uploading files that contained 2 spaces in the filename via the new Learner Portal.

AX-10300 - An issue has been resolved in the new Learner Portal for student users that attempt to reset their password while having multiple accounts with the same username and email address. An updated error message will now be displayed in this instance.

New Features

Xero Import Tool  - Improvements have been made to the Xero Integration to allow Contacts and Payments to be imported from Xero into aXcelerate. Contacts that exist in Xero can be imported as an Organisation or a Contact in aXcelerate. Xero Contacts can either be linked to an existing Contact/Organisation record or created as a new record in the system. Payments associated with Contacts that have been linked between Xero and aXcelerate can be imported into aXcelerate. Please refer to our Xero Integration help article for further information on how to utilise this feature.

 

Improvements

AX-9333 - The “Generate Payment Plan Invoice” workflow action has been updated to include a setting “Include Due Items”. This will invoice any items that have a due date prior to or equal to the due date of the payment plan installment as separate line items.

AX-9346 - aXcelerate has a new report for recognised revenue accounting. The revenue from each month is proportionate to the course length and the student tuition fee. Each monthly value can be saved so that once revenue is recognised, it cannot be recognised again.

AX-9668 - Student users can now delete the uploaded files in Online Assessments prior to submission.

AX-9691 - As part of our commitment to improving security, we have increased the requirements for validating newly created passwords. When a user changes a password, a lot of commonly used passwords or passwords that are easily guessed will be denied, e.g. “admin1”, “password”, any password that is the same as the username or a string of the same character repeated (“2222222”). Note that existing passwords will not be affected.

AX-9813 - Terminology has now been implemented in the new Learner Portal. Therefore, when administrators modify the terms in aXcelerate settings, these terms will reflect on the new Learner Portal.

AX-9867 - We have improved the workflow engine Contact Events so that they will now be triggered from the main interface. The system supports contact update, create, delete and merge events. See the help guide for more details.

AX-9927 - Updates have been made to the Online Assessment Authoring UI to make way for new Item Types.

AX-9948 - In order to comply with the highest security guidelines, we have implemented a content security policy across the application. This will limit the use of embedded content, including videos, fonts, CSS and javascript code within our application. At this time, this will not affect the delivery of embedded videos within online assessments or images.

AX-9950 - We have made an improvement to the resource library advanced search results message to make what you searched for more clear.

AX-9968 - Cancelled enrolments for Online Assessments will now be displayed in a separate section of the Marking page for easier differentiation. The statistics included on the overview page will no longer include these enrolments in its calculations. 

AX-9971 - The outline of a Workshop Type (Introduction, Benefits, etc..) is now always shown when viewing a workshop overview in the Learner Portal.

AX-10015 - Clients can now add a key image for all E-Learning type courses. This key image will eventually display on the new learner portal.

AX-10032 - We have improved the performance of the file scan so that clients can see how much data they are currently storing with aXcelerate. This information is available in the Account Statistics tab of your system settings.

AX-9847 - An issue has been resolved where viewing LE/ES surveys was only showing the summary results if at least one response has been recorded. Note that this fix only applies to the new LE/ES survey reporting page.

AX-9937 - An issue has been resolved where the workshop import tool had set "0" as the invoice number against some workshop bookings. This prevented users from being able to delete the booking record. These zeros will be automatically removed for all clients as part of this release.

AX-9987 - An issue has been resolved for event display in the new Learner Portal where the event has two lines at least, and the event name is put in the first line in calendar week and today view.

AX-9991 - An issue has been resolved with displaying the default assessors on the Assessment Management page when viewing an Assessment task.

AX-9469 - Added the ability to disconnect the Xero Integration from aXcelerate. Disconnecting enables customers to switch the integration to another Xero Company / Account. The disconnect page can be accessed from the Xero Configuration or the Integration Tab in Settings.

AX-9582 - We have added current and past courses grouping in the course switcher dropdown in the new Learner Portal.

AX-9668 - An improvement has been made in the new Learner Portal to allow files to be removed prior to submission of Online Assessments.

AX-9727 - Credit transfers will now be detected but not applied when enrolling multiple students into a class. This is to avoid all students receiving a credit transfer (note that this can be overridden).

AX-9809 - Fixed an issue where workflow task history results were sometimes being truncated and not completely viewable in the history window.

AX-9837 - Users can now utilise the New Learner Portal when using SSO through configured external SSO providers. 

AX-9870 - We have improved cross-site scripting (XSS) protection for portfolio types.

AX-9871 - To further improve security we have removed the ability to specify HTML characters and markup in contact categories.

AX-9973 - Previously, setting up a multi-session workshop would not automatically generate the date descriptor based on the complex dates. This has now been implemented so that the date descriptor will always be generated and updated to match the start/finish dates (which are determined using the complex dates entered)

AX-10002 - We have implemented security features which may affect client-entered HTML in some areas of the system. For this task, we have concentrated on User Tasks, notes and details.

We have added both Workshop and Workshop Booking custom fields to the certificate template feature. These fields will be available only when editing a Workshop type certificate.

We have also added a Date Mask option to all custom fields in order to give users better control on how date type custom fields are displayed on their template.

Invoice and Credit note line items reports now include the unique integer IDs of the line item records. The “Transaction Ref” field is also available in the “Transactions with Line Items” report.

AX-9819 - This update affects all clients using the workflow feature.

In order to address some system performance issues it has been necessary to scale back one of our features of the workflow engine. When sending templates, the "Max Every" field used to have no limit and allow users to specify that a certain template was never sent to a certain contact again. This range is now limited to one year (366 days, to account for any leap years). All clients should be aware that this will now affect existing workflows. Any workflows set up after this release, where the Max Every is set to infinite or greater than the one year limit, will be reset to 366 days.

 

Improvements

AX-8558 - Users are no longer required to enter text when saving a note on the Assessment Marking page IF there are files uploaded. This should avoid confusion - note that the text “File(s) uploaded” will be added in place of the note if the text is left blank.

AX-8976 - For accredited workshops that have attached eLearning, there is now an eLearning view that you can switch to. This will allow you to see the eLearning view (similar to what is in the class matrix) without leaving the workshop page.

AX-9585 - To reduce confusion, we have improved the TAE evidence upload section to limit selecting existing portfolio items by the TAE portfolio type selected.

AX-9627 - Students can now see the results of previous attempts at an assessment while undertaking a new attempt in the new Learner Portal.

AX-9634 - The Canvas integration will now use the web service user's contact record instead of the student when marking completions.

AX-9663 - Units are now viewable in the course overview of an accredited workshop.

AX-9687 - Accessing the finance section for an enrolment now requires the finance update AND enrolment update permissions. 

AX-9730 - When transferring a workshop enrolment where there is a linked class, a link will now appear to also transfer the associated class enrolment.

AX-9763 - In the interests of usability, the "sticky" submit button will now appear on the Set All Competency Statuses page.

AX-9267 - We now have support for a workflow contact merge event. This event will fire whenever a contact merge is performed.

AX-9480 - The new Learner Portal will now return a message to the user when attempting to upload an unsupported file type, rather than displaying a message after the file has been uploaded.

AX-9507 - The Welcome Message specified in the Learner Portal tab of System Settings will now be shown to students; this is also available through the Help menu.

AX-9586 - The Deactivate Contact option has replaced the Delete Contact action on the Contact profile. This has been updated to reflect the intended system usage, where contacts with related data are unable to be removed from the system. When a contact has been deactivated, the option to delete the contact will become available if that contact is able to be deleted and the user has permission to do so.

AX-9589 - Learning to Do will now show a Badge count on the new Learner Portal Dashboard.

AX-9660 - We have improved the USI validation to incorporate their check algorithm.

AX-9728 - Withdrawn units will now be displayed in the same style as Not Started units in the new Learner Portal.

AX-9743 - For clients using externally managed user roles via SSO, we have now added an SSO ID field to aXcelerate user roles. This optional field will make it easier to map external roles with those in aXcelerate, without having to give the aXcelerate roles non-user-friendly names. This also makes the SSO integration with Azure's Active Directory much better.

AX-9769 - The live Workshop Bookings (live) report now has some new filters that will find any booking where a booked or cancelled status exists within a date range. The date range is limited to the last 31 days so it is most useful to find new bookings in the current day or week.

AX-9790 - The API will now return a 403 (forbidden) status code in the event of an attempted duplicate eLearning enrolment, as well as other errors related to attempting to enrol into eLearning (e.g. eLearning is inactive)

AX-9227 - We now have support for the Locate USI function. This can be accessed from any contact view page by clicking the search icon next to the USI field. You can choose which details to search by but surname, date of birth and gender are required. If a match is found, the USI as well as the details you used to locate it will be automatically saved against their contact record and a system note will be added. Be aware that when searching, if you successfully find a record, the student will receive a notification that your company has located their USI.

AX-6888 - There is now a separate permission (Survey Results) which will control access to survey results. The existing survey permission has been renamed to Survey Management.

AX-8608 - When selecting a payer or employer contact in the organisation record, aXcelerate will now warn the user if they are selecting a contact from another organisation. When this organisation record is saved, the organisation of the employer/payer contact will be changed. This can be further explained in the warning on the following help page: axcelerate.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360000498395#1348128252.

AX-9330 - Validation on the date of birth field has been improved, so that you can now select any date in the past. This allows for contacts under the age of 4 (previously this was not supported).

AX-9341 - A new filter is available in the workshop attendance report to search for all workshops linked to a class.

AX-9342 - For clients using our Online Assessments feature, they can now deactivate assessment types. An inactive type will no longer appear in the dropdown list to be selected when creating new assessments, however, this will not affect existing assessments or enrolments in these assessments. 

AX-9391 - For clients using Ezypay, we have added template fields to support information regarding the subscription. These fields can be found under "Direct Debit Related Fields" when editing a template. The templates can only be generated from the manage and view Ezypay subscription pages.

AX-9437 - We have fixed an issue where the NAT00085 file was reporting blank rather than @@@@ for missing postal postcodes.

AX-9546 - The API endpoint /courses/ (passing type el) will now default public and current to false to avoid filtering out results.

AX-9610 - Linked course enrolments will now be displayed as a single record in the new learner portal. Previously, workshops and class enrolments would be displayed separately.

AX-9664 - We have made some layout improvements to the Resource Search page. 

AX-9716 - Multiple Files can now be uploaded via Online Assessments with the File Upload flag, and without the Task Items Visible to Student flag.

AX-9631 - We now support the new Cloud Authentication & Authorisation (CAA) solution for connecting with the USI. Clients will be able to generate a software ID (SSID) and then authorise aXcelerate to make calls to the USI API on their company's behalf. The connection must be done via the ATO's Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM). See our help guide for more info.

 

Improvements

AX-5612 - The AVETMISS Validation tool no longer uses Qualification Recognition Identifier for the USI validation check. Instead, it will now validate each enrollee of any Qualification which has the VET Flag ticked (unless they have an exception).

AX-8458 - We have added a new parameter, autoGrantCT, to support the automatic granting of credit transfers (CT) when enrolling students via the API. If using this parameter, the system will automatically set the unit outcome to CT for students where it detects a pre-existing competency. This will also prevent the student from being enrolled into any linked units or E-Learning for that subject. Subjects that carry an expiry date, such as units in CPR, will not have competencies automatically granted.

AX-9054 - We fixed an issue where automated tasks were running for in-house quotation workshop instances. The instances are not finalised and so no automated tasks will run for them. 

AX-9502 - The performance of the Agent Commissions report has been improved and there is a new filter for Commission Type that will greatly improve the speed of the report.

AX-9522 - The Download function for contact notes will now order these based on the note date (with the most recent notes first). This is to match the ordering of contact notes on the contact page.

AX-9538 - In the new learner portal, when viewing the training links for resources, users can now see which standard assessments, if any, the resource or any of its versions are linked to.

AX-9564 - Enrolment duration fields are now available in templates based on the dates set in the enrolment. There are three options; number of months, number of weeks and a breakdown in years, months and days accurate to the day.

AX-9565 - We have updated one category in the trainer competencies. To better align with ASQA guidelines, the "Train with supervision" category has been renamed to "Train or assess with supervision". 

AX-9570 - Class Enrollee related Workshops will now output in date order on Templates.

AX-9599 - An issue has been resolved with Client Users logging into the new Learner Portal.

AX-9603 - As part of our ongoing security improvements, we have locked down custom SMTP email settings to use one of the most common SMTP ports: 25, 465 and 587. Clients must choose one of these ports when setting up their email. Most email providers will support at least one if not all of them.

AX-9604 - The new Learner Portal now allows multiple files to be uploaded in a single submission for Standard Assessments.

AX-9638 - Contact Source is now available as grouping or chart category in the contacts report, the workshop bookings reports and the class enrolments reports

AX-9667 - Resource links added to course outlines and assessment outlines pointed at the old learner portal will convert to the new link style in the New Learner Portal

AX-9299 - Big news for clients using our workflow feature. We have added workshop booking events! These events will fire upon workshop booking creation and workshop booking status change.

Improvements

AX-7000 - The UI of the public workshop booking confirmation page has been updated. If multiple students are booked simultaneously, each contact will be displayed in the booking confirmation summary.

AX-7978 - We have improved permission checking on the Online Assessment Management and Online Assessment Enrolment pages.

AX-8460 - Users using the trainer matrix feature can now append units to existing evidence from the Unit Evidence tab. Note that if the evidence is in an Approved or Archived status, there will be warning recommending the user to set the evidence back to a review status. This is only a warning. No automatic change of status will occur.

AX-8626 - The 'Assessments' view of the class matrix page will now show the status of the assessment enrolment in each cell.

AX-8797 - Assessor information is now available in the "Online Assessments" reports.

AX-9160 - Workshop venue search has been improved and optimised for clients with large volumes of data in their account.

AX-9237 - The validation for the initial amount required for EzyPay payment plans has been improved so that this will now prevent amounts being entered that are lower than the minimum course value.

AX-9313 - It is the responsibility of all clients to track their learner numbers, which you can do from the Settings > Account Statistics tab. As a reminder, an email with the month's learner numbers is sent out every month and is recorded against the contact with the same email address as set as the training administrator in your system settings. Now, if a contact does not exist with this email address, one will be created by the system so as to always record this note.

AX-9359 - An update on the set all page will now allow for manually-entered unit costs to persist when changing the unit status to another value that also incurs the cost. Previously this would automatically be recalculated according to the applicable finance model.

AX-9373 - Performance improvements have been implemented for both the Assessment Management and Assessment Mapping pages, which will resolve loading times for clients with larger volumes of Assessments.

AX-9417 - An improvement has been made to the styling for the reset password page on smaller mobile devices.

AX-9425 - We have made some improvements to the workflow engine to increase its reliability, especially when performing actions based on report row events. We have also improved troubleshooting email errors by including in the workflow history more information one which contacts failed to be emailed and why.

AX-9426 - The finance menu has been cleaned up so that the options are most consistent across clients with different integrations.

AX-9427 - The New Learner Portal will now display section descriptions/overviews as steps if the section description has been set.

AX-9088 - We have now upgraded the USI integration to use version 3.0 of their API. This comes with a few changes that clients should be aware of:

• The USI service now supports gender X
• Country of Study as a required USI create field has been removed
• There is no longer a minimum age restriction in the validation
• The create code now supports "preferred" names. If this field is set in aXcelerate it will be sent as the preferred first name when creating a USI.
• There is now more validation around "Birth City" if it is within Australia. The service will check that the value is a valid Australian city.

This change is a first step before the AUSKey will be decommissioned later in the year and we are working closely with the USI Office in preparation for this.

AX-9265 - By popular demand from our ideas forum, users can now specify both a minimum and maximum number of unit enrolments in elective streams under a qualification's package rules.

AX-8575 - It is now easier to change the Invoiced contact for a public workshop booking if the person requesting the booking is not the usual person who the invoice would be addressed to.

AX-9264 - We have improved the workshop move feature so that when moving a workshop booking in an accredited workshop into a different workshop of the exact same type, the system will transfer the online assessment enrolments where possible.

AX-9266 - The course owner's contactID has been added to the /course/enrolments API endpoint.

AX-9275 - Templates for public workshops where students are listed on the template will now be able to contain invoice information relating to each booking if using the "id=studentEnrolment" multi-row attribute.

AX-9294 - Qualifications and Workshop Types now have a field for Online Booking Confirmation Template. This allows a specific template to be used for Online Bookings made into each Qualification and Workshop Type. The selected template will be sent to students when bookings are made via the WordPress plugin or directly via the API.

The subject line of the email will be the name of the selected template. If no template is selected, the appropriate booking confirmation template set in the Default System Templates area will be used as it is currently.

AX-9300 - Warnings on the Enrolment Status page have been improved to detect past dates on non-commenced unit enrolments.

AX-9318 - We have updated the length of postcode, city and state fields in both organisation and contact addresses for consistency and to avoid data truncation with invoicing.

AX-9326 - TCSI rate limiting has been built into the service so that if a client hits their rate limit, the system will automatically wait a few seconds and try again.

AX-9364 - Withdrawn units will not be considered when validating package rules against a student's enrolment.

AX-9389 - For RAPT reporting, the system will report a "Y" under award issued if the enrolment has an award issue date. Previously, the system would only report a "Y" if a full qualification certificate was issued from aXcelerate. It will continue to report an "N" if the award issued was only an SOA.

AX-7916 - We have improved our automatic generation of student users feature. Previously, this feature was either on or off. Now, clients can control whether users are generated based whether the student enrols in a class, workshop, e-learning and/or online assessment. This setting will be found on the Additional options system setting tab. A default learner role must also be defined.

AX-9042 - For clients with the new learner portal enabled, users can now access it from the User menu in aXcelerate Admin. Please contact us for more information on this feature.

AX-9134 - For clients with the new learner portal enabled, Announcements can now be added/viewed from the class/workshop pages. Please contact us for more information on this feature.

AX-9165 - We have added a few new features for all clients using discounts. Each discount can now have a total cap. If you add a value to this field, the discount will stop working when the total usage of this discount equates to a combined savings equal to this cap amount.

Another feature is the email domain restriction. If used, the discount can only be applied by a student whose email address matching the domain.

Improvements

AX-5759 - QLD enrolments now support the per nominal hour tuition fee as per User Choice requirements. Note that this will be rounded to the nearest dollar (where partial amounts are calculated) in AVETMISS reports to align with data collection requirements.

AX-8301 - Email templates with manual fields has been improved so you no longer need to click the "Save" button before you click "Email" to save the content of the manual entry fields. It now does this in one step automatically.

AX-8457 - Workflow users will now have the ability to create an initially paused automated task.

AX-8469 - The API will now return "503: Service Unavailable" if attempting to run a warehoused report while the cache is offline. Queueing a report will still work.

AX-8823 - We have improved the enrol API so that if any email notifications fail, for any reason, the rest of the enrolment will continue and a system note will be added to the contact who failed to get the notification. 

AX-8894 - There is a new feature for clients using Moodle, external or SCORM e-learning activities. At the e-learning course level you can now set access start and end offsets. These values when set, will determine the number of days to offset the e-learning access start and end dates of students enrolled into the e-learning via a linked class or workshop.

AX-8989 - AVETMISS reporting for Skills TAS has been updated to coincide with the changes outlined in this document. 

AX-9048 - In line with Victoria's most recent 2020 AVETMISS reporting requirements update, all CT and RCC unit enrolments will be reported with a blank Client Tuition Fee.

AX-9112 - The timeout for deploying SCORM Packages has been increased to 10 mins (to support larger packages)

AX-9114 - Additional spacing has been removed from the salutation when sending out a plain text email from the Mailouts tab of a workshop.

AX-9124 - aXcelerate's Xero integration has been updated to work with OAuth2, as per changes implemented by Xero.

AX-9144 - The deprecated page to finalise (lock) all finance details in the system will now require the Finance - Master permission. This page, which can be found by going to Finance Management > Finalise, used to require the Finance - Delete permission. 

AX-9159 - The warehoused Contact Notes report is currently restricted to notes in the last month for performance reasons. To download a contact's note summary, there is now a Dowload button on the contact page (within the Notes section).

AX-9163 - There is now a checkbox when confirming a tentative class enrolment for clients with the option to automatically generate learners on enrolment; deselecting this allows you to confirm the enrolment without generating a user for the student.

AX-9166 - An 'Add Schedule' button has been added to the top of the page when viewing a Contract to make it easier to add new Schedules to a Contract when many Schedules exist. 

AX-9192 - A bulk refresh button has been added to the TCSI error page. This is important as some errors in TCSI may involve data that is not directly linked to an enrolment. For example, a missing delivery location street address will cause errors for enrolments in units of study. This feature will allow clients to fix the delivery location and then bulk refresh all affected enrolments.

AX-9194 - To make error resolution easier, viewing TCSI enrolment errors on a student's enrolment status page will now list all unit of study errors individually with the unit of study code, rather than grouping similar errors.

AX-9221 - The list of domains that appears in workshops, system users and domain management are now displayed in alphabetical order.

AX-9225 - An issue has been resolved for Victorian clients submitting training files for VSR. For students with only one name, the VSR report requires that name to be repeated in both the first and last name fields.

AX-9235 - We have updated the VSR Training Activity File upload CSV file to have the 8th column. This column will be the VSR loginName recorded against your system settings. This was requested by VSR for audit purposes.

AX-9295 - For WA clients, when updating unit competencies in bulk for a student, the system will now automatically put a cost of $0 for a unit when selecting "W-N", "SUP" or "NAS" outcomes.

AX-7569 - An issue has been resolved with special characters appearing in the Finance CSV export for a contact.

AX-9087 - A permission issue has been resolved with bulk enrolling into Online Assessments with Assessment Engine and no eLearning options.

AX-9154 - An issue has been resolved for clients with more than 50 assessment types.

AX-9171 - An issue has been resolved where users running an AVETMISS report and choosing as their validation type "aXcelerate and upload to NCVER", would not get the option of uploading their NAT file set to NCVER if there were no aXcelerate validation errors.

AX-9173 - An issue has been resolved in the certificate template editor with using system terminology (i.e. for the units table) that contains brackets.

AX-9205 - An issue has been resolved where the workflow send template actions were not correctly defaulting to the workflow system user's email address where the 'From' parameter was left blank.

AX-9218 - An issue has been resolved where sometimes uploading AVETMISS files to NCVER would fail with the error: Error reading zip file: only DEFLATED entries can have EXT descriptor.

AX-9228 - An issue has been resolved where the Assessment Marking page would display answers as incorrect in the case of a QTI question that was changed from single choice to multiple choice.

AX-9284 - An issue has been resolved with saving Merge Documents in Safari where no note code has been assigned. 

AX-9319 - A performance issue has been resolved on the Assessment Plan page for clients that have large amounts of Online Assessment tasks.

AX-9196 - Clients with VSL funding can now access the TCSI integration feature in aXcelerate.

Improvements

AX-8264 - A new custom fields data type "URL" is has been added. This will provide basic validation of a URL and the ability to quickly open the link in a new tab. 

AX-8484 - TCSI now supports refresh in bulk

AX-8507 - Gender will now be output in AVETMISS reports as "X" when set to other and "@" when set to blank for training activity commencing/being completed after 2019.

AX-8744 - Users will no longer be able to delete system generated notes. The system always prevented editing these notes, but now it will also prevent their deletion.

AX-8862 - We have done some cleanup in the backend of our code to do with e-learning enrolments to more consistently render access start and end dates blank for clients that have this option enabled. This should not affect current functionality. 

AX-9073 - For clients using VSL, updating certain Unit of Study values at the Qualification or Class level - such as Unit of Study code or census date - will cause any linked enrolments to be marked as updated. This is to better facilitate TCSI and reporting on those enrolments that will need updating.

AX-9103 - The Contact Update page and Web & Other Integrations tab (in System Settings) now have a "sticky" Submit/Save button to avoid excessive scrolling.

AX-9110 - Users can now delete course groups from the Group Workshops page. We have also improved permission checking around workshop groups. Users must have the desired workshop instance permission to perform actions on workshop groups. For example, to delete a course group, a user must have the "Workshop Instance - Delete" permission.

AX-9161 - Our TCSI integration UI now supports bulk linking for clients to link existing data in TCSI with records in aXcelerate. 

AX-9199 - The label for AVETMISS reporting format for VIC has been updated from 8.0 to 8.0 (2018-19) so that it is consistent with the rest of the format labels for this state.

 

Bug Fixes

AX-8957 - An issue has been resolved where the system was not correctly passing the optional flags and checks to the NCVER API when validating a recordset.

AX-9064 - An issue has been resolved where issuing a certificate for specific units of competency across multiple enrolments was not available.

AX-9089 - aXcelerate will report for TCSI records missing. At the current time, this cannot be fixed in aXcelerate. Records that have been linked from TCSI but then deleted will need to be fixed in the TCSI portal.
