'View As Student' in Learner Portal
The function to 'launch as student/learner' exists in aXcelerate to be able to view the Student Portal as if we were the student. This is helpful so that we can walk through with the student if they have issues, however if you click on something it will 'edit' it for the student. Is there a way to make this 100% view as student, and if they click on items it won't alter it. Ie if the student calls to say that they are clicking 'submit assessment' and it is coming up with an error, we don't want our Coaches clicking on it and it actually submitting on the student's behalf.

We would love this too - We have had a few instances where we've needed to display on the projector where a student can access a resource, but when using a live student view, we are also previewing all results of the student which is not great.
Would love a 'clean' view of the learner portal for each class, to be able to demonstrate navigation without being linked to a specific student -
Yes, this would be a great update!
Even if the 'launch as learner' function had a 'view only' option in the user settings, our trainers have the ability to still access the student's learner portal, see their student's progress and assist them without accidentally actioning anything in the student's portal.
And the assessment log needs an update too, because anyone who launches as the learner and actions things in their portal, is all recorded as the learner and not whoever launched as them which is a compliance issue.

Whilst I do understand the concerns people have above, I must also acknowledge that the actual ability to "make" the student portal respond as if I were the student has value.
Often students have complained of a loss of functionality or other issues for which they want to blame the system.
In many cases actually being able to test the functionality has enabled me to submit an assessment or test issues around saving etc. In testing I have taken screen recordings to show the student. In many many cases the error is on the student side so the recording is clear evidence of the troubleshooting process and the results observable by the student. Eg if I were to enter "Test Text" in a student short answer area, and it saves..the student see's this and is more prone to follow or understand advice regarding internet stability or hot spotting etc.
So just to confirm the best option of retaining edit power yet with possible non edit option for walk throughs etc.
Having said all that yes, there are times when I want to just look and not initiate an assessment to "In Progress"
