Add search functionality to the Assessment Plan creation area
AnsweredIt would be great if some kind of search functionality could be added to the Assessment Plan creation area.
I am setting up a new Assessment Plan and trying to select the assessments from a list of 100, as I can anticipate as time goes on and this list grows it is going to become increasingly more difficult for RTOs to create assessment plans efficiently.
Another helpful feature could also be to indicate within the list of 100 which assessments you have already added to the plan, like highlighting the colour or having some kind of indication that it has been added.

It is a little clunky like the process of adding units to elective streams.
It leaves a lot of room for potential error.

I totally agree with this, a search would be great. Setting up an assessment plan is somewhat painful. All the title have ellipsis and are cut off as well. Having to mouse over everything to see the full title is slightly frustrating. I have to say this section is clunky indeed. Would love to see an improvement. A toggle to remove archived assessments from the list would also be helpful.

Assessment Plans are way more straightforward to use than Learning Plans, sometimes you just want to set up a simple assessment plan and don't require the extras in an LP.
- APs are much more simple to set up (apart from the suggestions I made above) than LPs.
- APs are simpler for our trainers and admin to add to classes and enrol students in, especially due to trainers being required to have additional enrolment permissions to enrol students in LPs, this should be separate as I have raised previously.
- I like the fact that I can link start and end dates to units in APs, with LPs they dictate the unit dates which is not aligned to the way we timetable units in our classes.
- Assessment Plans are usually the preference of our training partners as well because they are simple to set up and use.
Learning plans suit our courses with pre-course learning or a very structured delivery with a lot of resources.
Assessment Plans are much better suited to our courses for external students that we offer pay-as-you-go to and they usually only do one or two units at a time and workshops where everything is done in class.
Assessment plans are available and useful, please don't ever consider removing this option, just make it a little bit easier for the RTOs that like to use it. :)

Thanks for the additional clarity Pip.
Just so you're aware - Due to Code and User experience simplicity, we will need to consolidate Learning Plans and Assessment Plans at some point in the future.
We'll ensure that we have adequate tools to:
- Help you migrate
- Match the functionality in LPs currently available in APs
- Ensure that you can setup and use LPs as quickly and easily as you can APs
We'll make sure to collaborate closely with you and other users to verify we check all those boxes before we force any changes.
These changes are still a long way off though as we'd like to continue focusing on LMS upgrades for now.
Cheers
Mark
