Turbo - Assessment Filter
Listing assessments and learning plans in Turbo is a clumsy experience.
More granular filtering is required.
For example, I would like to filter by assessment type and date created.
With learning plans, if I search for a specific qualification it is returned with other irrelevant results.

For user's info I submitted a recording of the issues in the Assessment engine search function on 28/03/23 10:06. I also amended the request, see below.

By the way I experience similar search issues in the Learning Plan screen when adding resources. Which, if necessary, I can record and submit as a separate ticket.

By the way everyone, here's aXcelerate's response to my recording. Hope you all find the search improved. It seems better (if not perfect - e.g. doesnt like to find a short string like... (C) ...which I use to identify completed plans. :)
Hi Martin,
Thank you for your patience on this matter.
I just wanted to provide you with an update to let you know that this issue has now been resolved in our last release. I have included an excerpt from our release notes below for you:
AX-16857 - An issue has been resolved where Learning Plans search breaks when copying/pasting in data from an email field.
As this issue has now been resolved, I will now solve this ticket. However, if you have any further enquiries please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Support Team and we will be more than happy to assist.
I hope you have a lovely day!Kind Regards,
Customer Success Representative -
So Martin, are you now able to complete that search effectively that you demonstrated in your video didn't work?
I definitely agree with Richard's original suggestion of adding advanced search/filtering options to the assessment management area. We have so many assessments now it is hard to keep track of what is active, especially since there is no way (That I have found) to pull a list/report of the assessments, there only seem to be reports related to assessment enrolments.
I would also suggest adding a search or filtering to the assessment plans section, or even an indication in the area where you select assessments to add, letting you know if you already have an assessment in your plan. There are notifications in Learning Plans but Assessment Plans (which we find much more user-friendly than learning plans) are really lacking this feature.

Hi Pip
Thanks for asking 😊
In short, I had experienced frustrating search issues when searching Resources, Assessments and Learning Plans. However, it was better with Intakes.
Regarding my video. A few things
The search is somewhat better now after Ax’s fix - in that -
- The string I copied from the email does now work ie SC & AMA
- However, if I searched for SC alone, weirdly it will only work if I insert a space afterwards.
Searching in Learner Plans is also better but still has issues, as described below.
1. Today I ran a report to identify which Learner Plans carried a specific unit. From the report I got the following hit:
- BSB40120 - Certificate IV in Business (+TEC402, -OPS402)
(I add additional title info due to our methods.
When I copy pasted this from the report, it gave no answer.
2. Short strings of letters don’t do well. For example, due to our workflows, I had to title some Learner plans as COMP or (C) or (NC) for (Complete or Not Complete) etc by adding these characters to the end of the title. But searching on these characters won't work, so I use Ctr+ F for them.
Similar character additions seem to work better in the intake search.
It’s interesting that Axcelerate assessed my video more as a copy-paste issue. As seen in their issue resolution title, below.
AX-16857 - An issue has been resolved where Learning Plans search breaks when copying/pasting in data from an email field.
The video actually showed a copy paste from email to assessment. And as mentioned above the copy/paste to Learning Plan failed with a different example. So resolution seemed to be superficial.
I had hoped that the issues raised by Richard and others, plus my video might have triggered a larger review of the search and filtering experience. But I guess we’ll have to keep asking (as Im sure they have quite a few things on their plate....)
cheers
