Partial Refunds with Payment Gateway/Credit Card Processor

Having had a chat with the team I thought it would be good to flag here. We have to use a manual refund where clients book a group of UoC's where they should have only booked one. Currently we have to follow the manual credit note/refund steps to do a partial refund then swap to the payment gateway's website to manage the refund process. In our case we have been using eWay for a reasonable period of time and moving to Stripe to help with Afterpay and while the API allows for partial refunds as both of these do partial refunds in WooCommerce as an example, aXcelerate either provides full refunds or nothing. This impacts the amount of time our staff spend each week swapping between software and also impacts the workload in training a new staff member or updating the process.
It would be good to know if anyone else needs to be able to process partial refunds or are we the only business who would use it?
