Last assessment submission over x days ago - workflow report for Online Assessments
Our organisation wants to set up a workflow to send a reminder email to students who haven't submitted an assessment in over a certain amount of time - to prompt them to progress their studies, i.e. get in touch with their trainer, or submit further work.
We were previously able to achieve this using a Class Enrolments type report, but it can only report on legacy type assessments, not Online Assessments (which is what we use most).
Also, because our online assessments for the classes we want to report on don't have due dates, we can't run an 'overdue' style report.
Just thinking others might find this report useful for this purpose too?

Hi Kath,
Thank you so much for submitting your idea!
I have had a look into this idea, and I believe you could achieve what you are looking for with an 'Online Assessment Attempts' report, using the 'Attempted Submitted Date UTC' filter.
I will reach out to you directly with further information :) -
Just a follow up note to this:
We (aXcelerate support and I) have been unable to achieve this function through the 'Online Assessment Attempts' reporting (aX ticket ##145132). Our team have tried other reports also, without success.
Our trainers are still regularly requesting this feature. I'm sure it would be very useful for many training organisations that offer self-paced learning, and wish to reach out and provide support to students who are not progressing through their course.

We have a similar problem - there are several online assessment tasks to complete a unit - once the re-commence a resubmission it changes the statis to in progress and there is no way to differentiate between someone who needs to resubmit and someone who has never submitted. We have to manually add notes and follow up tasks to be able to generate reminders a resubmission is still required (as we do rolling commencements and they can submit in any order we can't use due dates either)

No - we weren't able to find a suitable solution. We ended up compromising by creating a combination of other workflows to help keep self-paced students engaged... One for students operating on "last login date" and another for the trainers based on module completion delays, neither of which are exactly what we would like.
We would still love to have a "last assessment submission date" filter for Online Assessment reporting. Combined with the assessment status and # assessment attempts, as Melinda mentions above, this would make a fantastic opportunity for workflows to support student engagement.
(Side note: This "last assessment submission date" is available for our Legacy Assessment reporting on our correspondence classes - but still not for Online Assessment reporting for our majority online classes.)
