Giving trainers the option to use mailout on axcelerate

The ability to do bulk emails/sms to students in groups, course offers and classes. With admin privileges, you can do this through the MAILOUTS option. However, trainer privileges don't allow this. I know trainers who use this all the time, to send an intro email to the zoom group the day before we start the zoom, and then a wrap-up of what we've learnt at the end of the zoom session. Giving trainers the option to use this will most likely have a  greater likelihood that students will turn up to zoom without being chased.

  This is also a great tool for sending out follow-up emails to your student cohort or just to check in or to provide additional support. As more of a personal touch as it comes from the assessor rather than Axcelerate bulk mailout. Better response rates.

  I think it would be great if the announcements in the system gave the trainer the option to include email / SMS - that way we aren't relying on the student logging in and seeing the announcement (we dont use announcements for this reason). 
  If the trainer could create an announcement that had this option, then the student would always have it when they logged back into their portal as well.

  Hi Paul and Emily, thank you for your feedback! Have you tried enabling Templates so Trainers can access that? In every Template, there is a "Trainer Approved" checkbox which you can enable - this setting allows Trainers to access the Template to send out bulk communications.

  Hi Charissa. This doesn't solve the problem. We are not asking about sending templates. What we need is for trainers to be able to send out "General Email & SMS" from within the Mailouts tab.

  Trainers would use this to send out a message to a course or class, as well as ad-hoc documents and files.

  We need this added to the trainer profile.
