Adding video to learning plans and assessments

Hi all, we are wanting to add video to the learning plan and assessments and it seems that we can only embed it. Google Drive embed code for a file does not seem to work - a preview appears but the video wont play.

Has anyone found a way to add video via the URL (rather than an embed/iFrame). Or, does anyone have a suggestion for a video hosting platform that is private (and not YouTube)?

  Have you tried adding the video to your resource library and using the URL link from there? That's if you're OK with storing your videos in aX resource library.
