Assessment Editing Create New Version - Allow change of base type

Request - Allow a New Version of Assessment to change to new Assessment Type.

Creating a new version of an assessment is helpful. However it doesn't allow us to switch to a new base type which includes the functionality desired. Eg I have assessments using the Observation type, however I cant add things like checkboxes. I can't switch the new version to a Written Assessment type which will allow these tools.

  Yes! That would be so helpful rather than having to duplicate an assessment and losing the version information.

  I 100% agree with this suggestion.

  I understand you might not be able to go from Online Quiz to Observation due to question types but you should be able to go from Observation to Online quiz since the question type is just file upload that is included in Online Quiz.

  I have a whole bunch of Observation type assessments that I am going to need to recreate because I didn't realise the answers students type in can never be shown to them in their results in the learner portal.

  Painful!
