Real Report "Builder"

Recently we have been trying to generate a report showing how trainers time is used. The closet to this is the utilization report, however this only pulls data from short courses set with complex dates and will not show single non-complex dates or non course calendar events. this has highlighted a larger issue with the "report builder"

I would like to see a true "report builder" setting that allows full adjustment of all parameters for how data is pulled form the system. such as the ability to pull display fields from many different reports, currently your limited to those assigned to the reports presets.

for instance if i want to run the short course report, i'm limited to the fields that come under short course, I cant pull fields from "Event details" or much of the "finance" fields. this results in the need to run multiple reports some times 6 or more, just to mine all the data i need.

Please allow up to actually build a report tailored to our needs.

Agree with this one, and commenting in hope it will get some love! The ability to have full access to every field in the entire database to build custom reports from would be sensational. Even if it sat in a special access area for particular user types, this would be so good and really allow the RTO to maximise their efficiencies via data.

Definitely agree - I will look at the survey as well but it is so frustrating that we cant get so much information on the same reports because of the way its compartmentatised
