More flexibility with online assessments

Trainers are providing feedback about being able to see students progress in real time re what question they are currently up to in the class on their computer. I note that they need to submit for this to happen, but it seems that you need to mark it before that student can continue with the assessment. Are there any options available on this situation?

  It would be fantastic to be able to view where a student was up to without having to 'view as student', as this is the only way we have been able to do this currently. When a student calls with a question that they need clarified an option like Jeffrey has suggested!
