class matrix - filter by columns

It's great having the columns option on the class matrix page to show students individual information. It would be really helpful if we could also filter by these options, or even sort so the table is sorted not by the student name but by the column details.

So for example if we showed the 'study reason' column we could then filter the students by the study reason type that they chose. Or where the class is set up and students are allocated different trainers and we could then sort/filter the class by the teacher so we could follow-up outstanding results with the specific trainer etc.

  I agree, I often try to sort the data by the added columns and am disappointed to find this is not an option, like commencement date or assessor.

  I would love to be able to sort the text on the contacts search too!
