Templates for contact notes
We need the ability to have templated content for the contact notes. There are processes to do with students that require repeated use of certain contact notes. It is inefficient to keep these notes in a word document and have staff have to go and copy and paste from there. A second drop down box, after the note type, would allow staff to select from templates or ignore and write their own.
Example:
- Trainers leaving contact attempt notes
- Grading/file audit complete notes
- Enrolment status information
- Funding approval notes
- Sales/Business Development notes
These are all standard activities and usually occur over multiple students within one sitting. A template is time efficient and creates uniform records across all staff.

This is an awesome idea, we use file notes to keep track of funding application approvals, enrolment status etc.
We'd love to have templates that can be added based on a file note type.
Would also love to be able to pin/un-pin a note to the top of the list so these note types can be seen on the front page.

Thanks Pip! Yes, we are the same! Considering the template features in other areas of Axcelerate, it should be easy for them to implement this in contact notes. File note type and then drop down to select from relevant templates.
Your addition of pinning a note is a great idea! We would most definitely make of this concept!

Hey everyone,
I have installed a Google Chrome extension called Magical (https://www.getmagical.com/) and it is fantastic for what you are trying to achieve. For example, I have a template for a note about a farm visit. When I type -farmvisit anywhere in the browser (including the notes section), a little window pops up which prompts me to fill out certain bits and pieces and then inserts the formatted text:

I use the free version. Hope it helps! :)Cheers,

Just wanted to add another comment to reinforce that this feature would be extremely convenient. Copying and pasting note templates from other sources can be so tedious. Having a template system for contact notes built into aXcelerate would greatly improve productivity, and ensure consistency of notes left by staff. Thanks Michael for suggesting the workaround though, I wish I'd known of that before!
