Hide enrolled, not commenced units in Student Portal

As part of generating a training plan, at the commencement of a qualification, we enrol students into the full scope of their qualification (ie. all units).

Is there a way from the admin side of things to hide units until a student is actually ready to commence in it? Say they are doing a 2 year qual with 15 units, we want to be able to hide the majority of them and only release them in a staggered approach.

  Ah bugger, we aren't on the turbo package.
