Version control for Online Assessments
CompletedI was quite surprised to find that there is no real version control process set up in Turbo.
It seems that if there is a significant update to an assessment that needs to be made once it has been linked to an enrolment then the only option is to duplicate and recreate the assessment and then re-attach to all enrolled participants/classes. There is then no record that the version has been changed.
To add to this, even for minor changes, which can be made by override the edit, these to do record as new versions of the assessment so there is no tracking of when things may have changed. Given that you can change questions/tasks as part of this 'minor' update that is a bit concerning and needs to be reviewed to ensure there is tracking of versions.

To add to this, we also really struggle when we need to make adjustments to assessments, like add an extra upload section or change a question type. It would be brilliant if we could have an easier way to replace an assessment with an updated version.
Also if once you archive an assessment, if no new students can be enrolled in that, that would also help with version control.

Hi All
This feature has been (secretly) in development for a few months. I believe we hope to release it before the end of the year. As always, dates are subject to change. The Phase 1 functionality is as follows (also subject to change):
- Publishing a new version of an assessment
- Restoring to a previous version
- Version History Log
- Version Description (change notes)
- Automatically move Learners to the latest version of an Assessment
Kind Regards
Mark
