Notes generated from Template use need to be editable!
Notes generated when a template was sent to a contact used to be editable. I know that function was removed this month (March 2021). Was this the only option to fix whatever problem aX was trying to fix? It has created problems for us now.
1) Can no longer attach files related to the template that was sent so a 2nd note has to be added which impacts reporting because only the last note added to a contact is reportable.
2) Can no longer create a Follow Up task associated with the template sent. We regularly need to follow up with a client after sending a template email no longer can create a follow up task to remind us to do so.
Could the text entered into the Note field in a Note Record be locked for each instance, but still allow the Note record to be opened, add more text to the Note field (which would be locked once saved) include the note edited message/date like aX used to do? And, still allow the Follow Up task and Attach File features?
Or at a minimum (but not preferred) still lock the Note field but allow the Follow Up task and Add Attachment functionality to be accessed after the Note record is generated??

Thanks but it isn't a permission thing. aX actually made the change intentionally. I support when I noticed I could no longer update a note after sending a template. They said they locked the notes down. I just think they didn't think the change through and the other impacts it would have, hence my request to at least turn on the follow up task and attach file flag functions again, even if they leave the notes field locked....
