Total sum of max participant is not working in grouped course
AnsweredIn calendar's "Configure Displayed Fields" - "Courses" - "Participants", the denominator is not adding the maximum number of students for all grouped courses. The numerator adds up all the enrolled participants for all grouped courses.
If you could fix this that would be great.

This is the same as the support ticket #77586 that I currently have in the system so hope I can get updates also as this issue is resolved.
If this is resolved then it also will help with the idea forum I added last week "Be able to set maximum and minimums on grouped workshops"

The issue with only displaying the maximum students from 1 workshop within the group is that not all grouped workshops are for courses where students are intended to be double booked.
And if a student is booked into 2 workshops within the group, they are counted twice in the booked number, so the booked vs maximum capacity never balances or displays accurately.
If you set the main workshop number higher, to account for how it is displayed on the grouped workshop, then someone can go directly to that workshop, via ‘search workshops’ which only shows individual workshops.
They will see that only 10 students are booked in a workshop that has room for 20, so they can easily book someone directly in that workshop, but capacity could have already been reached across the other workshops within the group.
So to prevent this it would require a staff member to consistently be checking bookings vs maximum allocations and constantly adjust maximum allowance to ensure it reflects actual spaces remaining.
This is just not a sustainable option on a long term basis.
