    Hi Amelia and Mark

Our design team is planning a round of improvements in the future which will incorporate feedback we've been receiving. The considerations for this particular feedback are the following:

    • The more pairs you add, the more options will appear in the dropdown, and
    • The longer the character limit, the more text in each dropdown option

The above could result in there being a very long (wide) dropdown, that will also require a lot of scrolling to find the correct result. The above issues are not preventing us from making the changes, however these were the tradeoffs that we considered for when we designed those restrictions.

As always, keep an eye out on our release notes for any changes that are made.

    Kind Regards
    Mark

    Hi Mark

Thanks for the feedback - I'll pass this onto the design team and let you know their thoughts.

Hi Mark, I provided similar feedback while testing also. I totally agree!

More feedback on limitations with this question type - you cannot use the same term multiple times.

If the system was able to recognise the identical terms and match them to any of the required fields it would be beneficial.

Example question would be a series of statements with true/false, A/B/C, or similar options. Students may be required to answer the series of questions/statements collectively to show a satisfactory response rather than answering each one individually.

    Hi Mark

We totally agree would be good to be able to have the same term multiple times for things like true/false and also as an example we use for identifying the contamination type (physical, chemical, biological)

Hi.  Is there any progress on using Matching Lists for two items?

I notice that the word limits are increasing next week, but not this.

    Hi All

    Thank you for your patience.

We have reduced the minimum for Matching Lists from three items to two in the next release on the 22nd of September.

    Kind Regards
    Mark
