Birthday emails to students

I am surprised that Axcelerate cannot create reports based on a student's date of birth.

We like to send birthday emails to all of our current (and past) students and this cannot be done!

There is the option for a [custom field] but with agents and students enrolling online this field will get missed and I can't email some students and not others!

Please amend as it is nice for students to get a positive email!

  Hi all,

  There was a question posted here (now deleted) about which filter to use for date of birth.

  Several reports include a 'Birth Date' filter that allows you to report on contacts or students whose birthdate falls on a specific day - including options like "today" or "tomorrow". This filter matches only the day and month, and ignores the year.

  You can find this filter in the following reports:

  • Contact Details Warehoused

  • Class Enrolments Warehoused

  • Workshop Bookings Warehoused

  Currently, we have only been able to send by month. It would be great to be able to send it on the right day instead.

  Hi Louise and Kylie,

  This has been a highly requested feature of the report builder and in our upcoming release on the 17th, the Date of Birth field will be filterable in the Class Enrolments Report, to allow you to create Report Row Event Workflows for student birthday reminders!

  Hi Louise, Kylie

  Unfortunately, Josh had misunderstood the previous release notes when replying to this ideas forum request.

  The development work mentioned by Josh was completed to allow users to easily differentiate between concessional and non-concessional students on the class enrolments report, necessary for a RAPT requirement.

  I will investigate with the development team whether we are able to come up with a solution to enable these kinds of automated emails.

  While I really appreciate the birthday filter in the reports, it would be a real help if instead of picking a date, I could use the filter as tomorrow. 
  Any chance of getting this updated?

  Unfortunately, there was some miscommunication between our team and the developers. We have reworked the task and will be modifying the filter to work as you would expect it to for an easy-to-setup Workflow.
