UI Update / Feedback
Originally I saw that there were posts and comments about suggestions and improvements to the UI (at the time it was in staging), so I did not bother re-posting the same information. But it looks like the feedback was not considered or taken into account and you have gone and released the UI with no improvements.
There will always be customers who do not like change, but as a company feedback is still important to listen to or consider if you don't want to end up like "EA".
Here is some feedback about the new UI and in some cases its going to echo what was already pointed out to you guys prior.
- White on white is not a good move. Anyone using a standard office monitor (not a Mac monitor or something with a high contrast ratio) can see little difference between the grey lines, shadows and white background in the theme you have chosen to use. It looks so washed out and strains eyes. Just a FYI people prefer a dark theme or "Dark mode", your white theme is not trending and out of date before it was released.
- File note area #1: Scrolling within a web-page is nasty. It is the worst when your trying to scroll to the bottom of a web-page and instead you end up scrolling through a file note or file notes, you end up stuck until you move your mouse to the side of the notes or scroll through each one.
- File note area #2: The Note, Type, Date Inserted and Added By filed width is not optimal. You should consider resizing the Type, Date Inserted and Added by fields making they smaller to allow more room for the Note field, the Notes areas is the important information we want to read. I would be fine if the text would wrap (ending up on two or more lines) in the Type, Date Inserted and Added By columns. More often than not file notes will be more than one line and so it wont make much difference if the other columns were also on multiple lines.
- Widgets too bright. The colors in the widget screen are way, way to bright, pastel colors are fine.
- Widget numbers can be invisible. In some cases the numbers/percentages etc displayed in a widget one may be not visible when they are on top of the graph.
- ID Photos, the circle looks kinda cool but the UI is causing the photos skewed if they are not taken in an aspect ratio of 1:1. Student photos are generally taken with the same aspect ratio as passport photos (4:3) and this is so it works with student ID cards.
- Guides button. I know that this was not part of the recent update but its still annoying and I figured I should point it out (I'm pretty sure I mentioned this previously in a survey). Can you please give us an option to turn on/off the Guides button. Currently I use use an add blocker to remove the darn thing, but hey that works and if you guys wont listen to feedback I'm more than happy to keep using chrome extension to make aXcelerate function better. For anyone else reading this comment who would like to remove it, you can use something like "adblock Plus" (in chrome) to block it. In the advanced settings area just add "admin.axcelerate.com.au##.flap" to the "My filter list" and happy days, its gone. If you have your own preferred addblocker it may also work, you just need one that can hide specific elements of a web-page.

Good morning Andrew,
Thank you for your comments, I will be sure to send them in the right direction.
Our team have experimented with some basic 'Dark Mode' appearances and perhaps it is an option we can implement in the future. If it's something you would truly like to see in aXcelerate, I suggest you make a separate and specific post in the Ideas Forum as it will require a decent amount of development time.
In relation to the 'File note' points, could you please create a support ticket for our team as we may be able to better assist you through that channel.
We are also replacing the interactive guides in our next release with an aXcelerate Assistant which incorporates all of our help content. With the aXcelerate Assistant, the 'Guides' button will be removed.
Kind regards,
Rod.

Totally agree this has created a labor intensive change to most basic admin processes including collecting data for reporting as the current reporting systems that Axcelerate offers is not suitable for the data we collect. At the very least can we have an option to change the colour of each Domian to ensure we can clearly see whats going on where.

I completely agree, the display for the calendar is very hard to read and way too bright, Black font would make this easier to read and I don't believe it would be a difficult feature to add. Also having the choice or notice that the new display was going to change would have been good as we lost productivity at an inconvenience time to try and change the colors of our training categories so that we could actually read our calendar,

Hi Tiffany
Thank you for the feedback. We are monitoring the other Ideas Forum post regarding the font colour in the calendar and do like the suggestion. We are investigating both options of inverting the colours or allowing custom font colours.
Regarding notice of the changes, we're sorry that you had not received any communication about these changes. We had sent an email to key contacts of each RTO approximately 10 days prior to the update. The login page was also updated notifying users of this change. Do you have any feedback on ways we can improve our communication regarding future changes to aXcelerate?
In regards to one of Andrew's original suggestions, we will be implementing an option to re-enable zebra stripes in aXcelerate which should help with the readability of datatables.
Kind Regards
Mark
