Pre-Requisite Flag when Resulting

In the system we can set up if a unit has a pre-requisite or co-requisite and what that pre-requisite/co-requisite is.

It would be highly beneficial (where we have set this up) to have a flag/warning when resulting units that says 

"Unit XXXXXXX has the following pre-requisites xxxxxxx , xxxxxxx are you sure you want to proceed with resulting"  OK / CANCEL

or something to that effect so there is a trigger point for the person resulting to double check that requisite units have been completed prior to submitting the result

  Hi All

  Thank you for your votes and comments. We have implemented this functionality into the bulk set outcomes page.

  Please see the following excerpt from our Release Notes:

  Bulk-set outcomes pages will now indicate if you have selected to complete a unit and the pre-requisite units are not either completed or already selected. This will assist in preventing administrators from marking units complete before their pre-requisite units are complete.

  This would be a great feature, to be warned to check before resulting to confirm that prerequisite conditions have been met!! Hopefully it is something that can be implemented...soon??

  Yes, we have a number of pre-re an co-req with our units.  This has been hard to manage and we have had to create non-accredited courses for them.

  This needs to be attended to.  Our recent ASQA audit held us accountable to the hour a student completed a pre-requisite prior to other units.  A staff member missed it in an enrolment and we were fined for it.  I can't expect all staff to be fully engaged in all the packaging rules on TGA and we run a risk of being non compliant without their being some communication in aXcelerate regarding set pre-requisite units.

  System needs to prevent unit completion outside of requisite chains at all stages not just bulk update or set all outcomes.

  Units can still be awarded individually or from auto marking from assessments etc.

  Agreed Brad. A large number of our courses are auto-completed based on assessment completion. I'd like to see a system setting to block certificate issuance if pre-requisites are not fulfilled.
