Ability to add notes to Organisations
CompletedThe ability to be able to add notes to Organisations instead of contacts within an Organisation, example if you spoke to receptionist of said organisation and were unable to grab contact details for that person you are able to add a note to the organisation. Reduces the amount of contacts for one organisation and reduces confusion if a staff member that contacts were attached to had left said organisation. With all information in one central place for the organisation would make the process a lot easier for business development.

The development has been completed and is currently in our staging environment, set to be released into our live environment on the evening of Wednesday, July 3.

This was something we also requested when we were going through implementation. Our workaround at the moment is to actually set up the contact as the organisation as well. For example the 'given name' is the organisation name and then if you know the actual persons name it goes as preferred name. This allows us to keep a track of the history of the organisations completed training. If the contact changes you just need to update the preferred name. You have to make sure your templates are set up right to pull the preferred name etc and also it doesn't work well with merge docs but it retains the organisation history in one place.

We would also require to have notes and, especially, documents attachable to an Organisation. We don't want to do it through a linked / key contact as this will disrupt several types of reporting we do, and because it falsely puts them in the same lists as a student or internal staff member. Attachments and notes within an organisation would alleviate this.

Hi All,
We have placed this suggestion onto our development roadmap. We will add the ability for Organisation records to have both documents and notes added.
There are a few other client suggested features and functionality in the queue prior to starting this, however, I will keep you updated with regards to timeline.

Hi Rod,
Thanks for the update on this one. Do you know if the documents uploaded against organisations would be available in the client portal? This is something we are often required to provide in our industry, a client portal that shows the training history plus customer specific documents.
