Merge Document Improvements
Can I please request that you look at being able to attach documents from the resources library when you are sending merge document emails. Currently the system allows you to upload documents from your computer and save for future use but it does not link to approved documents within the resource library.
I have also noticed that when you click to save for future use the system puts this document into the resource library and it is then available for other admin users to use even though the person who has 'saved' the document does not have the permission to add documents to the resource library. Either the permissions need to be tighten here or have some kind of temporary area where these documents are stored and not available for others to use.

This is a great idea Helen.
It would also be really helpful if we could select default documents to be sent with each merge document email.
As an example, it would be good if we could create a merge document that can be sent to students when they enrol into a course with a pre-course information sheet (specific to that course) and the enrolment form automatically attached. -
Hi Helen,
Thanks for your advice, I think the templates will work before for us for now. I just uploaded a new idea in the forum for selecting default attachments for templates as well.
Are you currently linking the relevant attachments by including hyperlinks for downloading online? or do you just search and attach the resources manually before sending them?
I would prefer to send the resources/forms as attachments to the email but I think hyperlinks will be the simplest option for us for now. -
Hi Tahni,
We do a bit of both. Any standard documents like the enrolment form I hyperlink but we do also attach any additional, particularly if a one state has particular extra requirements they might attach another document. It seems to work for us. When we first started using aXcelerate I know some of our staff members preferred to attach rather than link.
