Agreed. I think there's a post in the ideas forum on this already.

The added benefit of this is that you could also provide reports to internal staff members without having to give them full reporting access.

I cant believe this is still not a thing?  Having the ability to automate a report and have it send as an attachment has been around for a long time.  I would be happy for the emailed output to just be a CSV for now if needed.

    Hi Wayne,

This feature now exists in aXcelerate and has done so for a little while now.

It doesn't provide the document as an attachment to the email but rather a downloadable link which we have found is sufficient.

Thank you Calvin, I saw the link option, but this doesn't work for what I want to do.  I want to have the file (CSV or Excel) emailed as an attachment each night or week.  I then have a flow in SharePoint that would monitor that inbox and save the attachment to a SharePoint document library to be merged with data from other systems (eg, Xero) in PowerBI and create management dashboards.

As you could imagine having to have someone save each one of the possible reports each day or week and manually have to save to SharePoint is not ideal.

Just refreshing this post. Wow, this was raised 5 years ago and still not available?

Having a link to download the report in my opinion, is not efficient or sufficient

Just adding to Wayne's comment above, many organisations are using management dashboards, connected to applications that automate reporting. What would be useful is to have the CSV/Excel/PDF file attached to the workflow email. Another option is to have a Microsoft connector/integration eg. Power Automate (Flows). I understand that Zapier is available, but as a NFP and possibly many other organisations, we use Microsoft products.
