    Hi Louise,

We recently added this option to the accredited workshop creation process to allow for greater control when adding accredited workshops to aXcelerate.

The way this works has not changed and remains the same as prior to the update. It's just that this happened behind the scenes.

If you are reporting Nationally, you can run your AVETMISS report as normal and it will, by default, pick up all classes including those selected as Smart and Skilled and convert these to the correct format.

Adding the option to allow National as a default is a good idea and we would be interested in seeing if any others would also find this feature helpful.

Agreed! This would be really helpful for us.

It would also be good if we could select a default delivery location for creating new workshops. I had added this suggestion in another post here - https://axcelerate.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/community/posts/115006414367-Adding-New-Workshop-Default-Delivery-Location

Just adding my 2c, but we also see value in this.

Currently it is defaulting to the reporting body our head office is in, but we would prefer it to default to NCVER.

    Hi All

Changing default behaviour is not something we can implement without careful consideration. The reason being is that these changes affect all aXcelerate users, who may be using aXcelerate in very different ways.
What would benefit some users, may in fact be a hinderance to others.

To resolve this, we would have to consider implementing a "Default Report settings" section. This would allow each organisation to pick specific default settings, similar to the Registration form currently in the system settings.

I'd love to hear feedback on the above.

    Kind Regards
    Mark

    Hi Mark,

    Thanks for your response.

I would expect it to be located in the same place as Default Delivery Location (System Settings > RTO/VET Settings). By introducing it, I'd expect the initial default to be based on the current default (in our case, QLD (DETConnect)) so as not to mess with what RTOs are currently expecting to see there. This could then be updated at an RTO level to change it to NCVER (or whatever accredited reporting state and RTO chooses).

    Hope that all makes sense.

    Hi Mark

The Default Report Settings would be a great idea, it has ben mentioned by several people in my organisation.

Hope you can add this to the 'planned' development this year!

    Thanks

    Ange

    Hi All

We have added the ability to control the default reporting format for a future release. It is currently undergoing code review before being passed to QA, with a tentative release date for the 6th of October.

    Hi Ian

Apologies for not updating this post back in October, however it did go ahead with its originally planned release date of the 6th of October.

You can find this option on the RTO/VET settings tab of the system settings:
