Automatic Exemption from USI
CompletedWe get a few international clients who are exempt from needing a USI. When we report them to NCVER, they use the following criteria to determine their USI exemption:
- State field is OVS
- Postcode field is OSPC
- Funding Source (National) is International full-fee paying client
In order to bypass aXcelerate's USI security features and issue certificates for these clients we have to edit the RTO/VET Settings, issue the certificate and then change the settings back. During this time there is the risk (albeit low risk) of someone issuing a certificate for a domestic student that does not have a USI.
Would it be possible for aXcelerate to identify that a client has met the above 3 criteria and if so, allow their certificate to be issued without having a USI?

Official comment
The ability to record a USI exemption for international students studying offshore (INTOFF) is now available in aXcelerate. Currently, exemption codes must be applied manually against a contact record.

Hi Steve, as per our Upcoming AVETMISS 2017 Changes article, this code (INTOFF) is not required until 2018, however, can be used from 2017. When reporting 2017 data, the NCVER validation tool should accept this code.
