Date & Number Format in Reports
I have noticed in several reports in both the old and new report builder that the files exported as XLS have any numbers and dates stored as text. And it is not possible to convert them to number or date format.
This problem is solved in the new report builder by having the CSV option, but we don't have that option in the old report builder.
Would be great if the old report builder could have a CSV option as right now I need to enter each cell, individually to edit the cell value so I can use the data as I need.
The reports I need are currently only in the old report builder, not the new report builder.

Hi Rachelle
A better solution from our perspective would be to recreate the old report you are using in the new reports system. This gives you more options for adding fields and it will also give you additional features such as grouping the results, charting and of course downloading in a variety of formats.
We plan to retire the old reports system this year but we will not do this of course until each of the old reports have been migrated. Can you please tell me which report you are using? It would be great to have a thread where people vote on which reports they are using the most in our old reports system.

Hi Michael,
Thanks. I have since had a more in depth look at the new report builder and have managed to find a couple of new reports that I can use to replace my previous reports.
The only reports that I cannot find in the new report builder that I use regularly are the 'Workshop Booking' reports: Inhouse Workshops and Public Workshop Bookings.
I use these to report on whether workshops and booking have been invoiced.
I cannot find any option in the new report builder to select 'items not invoiced' or something similar.
Thanks!

Suggestion for Excel. For a date field stored as text, if you create a formula and add one & subtract 1, I think you will find that the answer (once converted to date format) will give you the date in the correct format - then just copy the formula down & do a copy & paste values. Hope this helps
