Workflow new report builder

We want to use the workflow engine to send reports as an attachment via email. Currently this is possible with if you want to send a report from the old report builder. If you want to use a report from the new report builder you can only workflow email the report to an axcelerate user with full reporting access. We would like to be able to email the report to anyone.

Hi Calvin, in line with my previous reply, we have completed some modifications to allow for a report emailed by the workflow engine to be downloaded by anyone who has access to the link (they do not need to be an aX user). This link will expire seven days after being sent. This will make it into our next release, currently scheduled for 12 Jan.

Do you have any feedback about whether this has been accepted as a development item? It would be great to be able to send new saved reports as an excel, or pdf attachment as an email via the workflow engine to contacts who aren't axcelerate users. This is a feature currently available with the old saved reports.

Hi Calvin, this enhancement is not currently on our development plan. Due to the fact that the new reports are run and emailed asynchronously via the workflow engine, we are not able to attach the file directly to the email without first making some core changes to how this system works internally. We do appreciate your feedback, and hopefully with more client support this can make its way onto our development plan in the future.

Hi Calvin, we are planning on investigating this further prior to removing the old reports completely. Another option is to simply make the link that is currently sent in the email accessible by any recipient, skipping the login/permission checks. We don't yet have a date for this, but keep an eye out on the release notes for any updates.
