Single Name - Learner Onboarding

Students with one name are required to complete both first and last name.  we can make one field optional, but then risk not capturing data if they skip the box unintentionally.  A check box to indicate someone only has one name would prevent this, and they could complete the surname, which would then align with the USI requirements.

    We strongly support this enhancement. We have also encountered learners who legally have a single name, and the current requirement for both First Name and Last Name creates confusion during onboarding.

    Adding a "Single Name" checkbox would be a practical solution. When selected, the system could allow the learner's name to be entered in the surname field (or automatically populate according to USI requirements) while maintaining mandatory validation for all other users. This would improve the user experience, reduce support requests, and ensure compliance with USI and AVETMISS data collection requirements.

    Thanks Tiffany for raising this suggestion. We would definitely benefit from this functionality. 👍
