QR Code Attendance
We are interested in exploring the functionality of QR code integration within aXcelerate to support student attendance tracking for Academy workshop delivery.
Our vision is for students to scan a QR code on arrival and departure each day, allowing attendance to be recorded at an individual student enrolment level in real time.
This functionality could provide significant benefits in monitoring and evidencing nominal training hours, particularly within apprenticeship programs. It would also create opportunities to streamline reporting to employers regarding actual attendance hours, reducing the current manual administration requirements and improving the accuracy and efficiency of attendance records.
In addition, this functionality could support Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements by providing an accurate live attendance record of students onsite at any given time. This would assist with emergency management processes, including evacuations, headcounts, and ensuring visibility of who is present within the Academy environment each day.

was sent over what Allen's training do with QR codes for allowing student to complete their enrollment when attending
They set a QR code on the desk, when the QR code is used it will list the students in the course, the student selects their name and finish enrolment and then completes the assessment online. It also allows for organisations to manage who is doing courses.

Having an option to track sign in and sign out times for students with timestamps, names and signatures within the system is something RTOs will really need for audit purposes too, hopefully we won't have to pay an extra premium to have this option.
Nothing really accurately captures this information in an audit friendly way in the system at the moment.
