Workshop instances - reoccurring

Would be great if there was a way to make a workshop be a reoccurring event. I know this can be done for classes however we need this for workshops. At the moment its a manual process. 
Example - weekly workshop for the entire year, need to add in each one manually

  I was about to make a post for the exact same thing!

  All our classes are once a week for 10 or 20 weeks (same time and day). Currently that means when creating a workshop I have to manually choose the dates for 10/20 classes. We set up 40-50 classes a term - approx 200 a year. This would be a massive efficiency gain. Not sure why it's not already set up to do since when creating a class via class timetabling it can be done.
