I agree with this. Alternatively, increasing the capabilities of live reports. I occassionally need to provide progress reports to third parties in a short time frame, and if I identify any information that needs to be updated within that report, I then have to wait until the following day before I'm able to download and send it out. What a hassle!

    Hi Kennard and Leilani,

Can I confirm that you're talking about warehouse reports? Live reports should contain up to date information.

We're currently collecting feedback on our reporting system, so any specifics about the dashboard widgets or reports that you'd like to contain up-to-date information, let me know!

    Cheers,
    Brendan

    Hi Brendan,

I'm referring to warehouse reports, yes. I assumed Kennard must have meant the same, given the live reports are current.

We have some custom reports with display fields related to student progression. Some of the specific display fields we would find helpful to have in live reports as well are:

    • Num of Units of Competency enrolled
    • Competent %
    • Num Units of Competency Competent
    • Num Units of Competency Remaining
    • Last Unit of Competency Completion date
    • Days Elapsed %

    Hopefully that helps!

@Leilani: thanks for your input, and yes, that is mostly the same fields I am looking at!

@Brendan: this is what i meant:

    • The warehouse report has most of the information but lacks the latest data.
    • The live report provides the most up-to-date data but doesn’t include all the necessary information (e.g., limited filter, limited fields display, and limited number of rows. -- compared to the warehouse report)

I agree with Leilani’s suggestion to enhance the live report with additional features (such as filters, fields, and the number of rows).

Alternatively, I would propose providing admin users with the ability to refresh the warehouse data on demand, in addition to the existing midnight warehouse caching. Based on my experience with Power BI, SAP, and other similar programs, I know that live data can be more challenging to process and call, which could lead to performance issues.

Thanks you two! We'll fold this feedback into our planning.
