filtering aXcelerate announcements
We would like to have more control over the axcelerate announcements i.e. the messages that pop up when you first log into axcelerate.
- We would like to use the axcelerate announcement feature to push our own messages to our own users. It's the best way to be able to provide our staff. students, clients and agents with up to date info e.g. holiday breaks.
- aXcelerate currently use the announcement feature to push information to all of our staff that is not relevant to them. For example, the recent announcement about the "Kat and Katie show" is pushed to all of our staff members and encourages them to register and attend. The content of these "shows" are not suitable for all of our staff and so we don't feel that it's suitable for this to be promoted to all axcelerate users. We recently had a trainer register and attend the first Kat and Katie show about the new online assessment feature. This webinar was 1.5 hours long and was an introduction to the online assessment feature which is only available to axcelerate turbo users. As a trainer, migrating to axcelerate turbo is not a decision he would make nor was the feature ready for roll out. This 1.5 hours was a waste of his time and we paid for that time. We can't have that happening month after month. If aXcelerate insists on sending these messages using the announcement system then the administrators need to be able to check and control the content before it's pushed.
Even information about the aXcelerate staffed hours on public holidays is not required to be pushed to all of our staff. Only a very small portion of our staff would ever contact axcelerate. It doesn't need to go to all of our users.

Thank you for your great suggestion. Regarding your second point, we are currently exploring options for a client to customise how these announcements interact with your users; as we do see the value and the importance of this functionality to all of our clients.

The message automatically appears only once as to not disturb your day to day tasks. You can access it from the right hand Guides button by searching Kat & Katie Show. You can do this for any walkthrough guide or announcement for future.

All of our aXcelerate users seem to have received the aXcelerate Christmas marketing email earlier this morning. It's probably ok for this to be sent to our main administrators or key contacts but certainly not suitable to be sent to all of our users without our consent.
I would suggest that this is a similar issue to my main post where content delivery from axcelerate needs to be targeted based on user roles.
