Automatic notifications from Resource Library

It would be great if there was someway to notify users automatically when a change has been made to a document in the resource library. I am thinking like the 'notify' checkboxes in events. When updating a document you could select to send a notification to 'all trainers' or 'all admin' and then the system generates an email to say document xyz has been updated.

  That would be a good way to notify all of the relevant stakeholders in your organisation that the document has been updated.
