Add ability to search 'Historical Client ID'

We recently had an error on our NCVER AVETMISS report and the client ID ended up being a Historical Client ID when 2 profiles were merged.

There doesn't seem to currently be any way to search for clients based on their Historical Client ID and we believe this really needs to be updated in the system.

We could not locate the student because we could not search Historical Client ID in the righthand corner search bar, on the contact menu Search contact function and I could not easily find a report that would search on this ID.

We had to find the student by matching NAT file lines and locating their USI, which was very time consuming.

  Hello Pip

  The Quick Search bar (top-right corner) should allow you to locate Contacts by searching for their Historical Client ID. 

  I would like to explore this further with you so I'm going to create a ticket in the Support centre to do so.

  Hi Pip, just to clarify Wes' response:

  You can't currently search by HistoricID in the search bar, but there's a task due for release on the 24th of August that will modify the search bar to allow you to search by USI, OptionalID and Historic ID, as well as contactID (which is already possible).

  Currently, the manual search under the contacts menu will allow you to search via historic ID by using the "ID No." field.

  Hi Pip, we recently migrated to aXcelerate and have no issues with searching historical ID in the search bar. As long as your contact record has the historical ID field populated, should be able to find the student through the standard search bar.
