Creating Logbooks as Assessments (plus Learning Plans vs the new Workbased Learning Feature)
We currently use learning plans for all students and are creating workplace Logbooks in the Assessment Management section. We would like to duplicate whole "Sections" when creating the Logbook Assessment, rather than just duplicating questions and moving them to the new section. in One unit, there are 48 instances/Sections, but each section requires 2 question 'types'.
Is there any way to do this in assessment management?
We understand the new Workbased Learning feature can manage some of this, and while It would be preferable to use the Workbased learning add-on:
- Workbased Learning Activities is not linked to 'Assessment' evidence
- We use Learning Plans to manage theory and Assessments (which is a great feature) but students can't access Learning plans in the Learner App and Workbased learning can only be accessed through the app (not the browser) - this makes the student experience challenging.
- We don't know how Workbased learning and the Learning Plans are (or will be) linked - e.g. we would like to continue with Learning Plans (for theory content, lessons/activities and assessment management) but also be able to add Work-based Learning activities/Logbooks into the Learning Plan so that students only have to go to one place to get all their information.
UPDATE: - please see the following issue that has been raised -although we can complete the logbook as an Assessment, it appears that if multi-field responses are used, and the student only needs to complete 4 out of 5 fields, then this option will mean students have to put an 'x' in all other unused fields to submit... we need to be able to mark the multi-response fields as mandatory/non-mandatory .... https://axcelerate.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/community/posts/4939416275599-Allow-the-option-to-set-multi-short-answer-response-boxes-as-required-or-not-required-so-realistic-online-forms-can-be-created-within-the-system-without-needing-forms-to-be-downloaded-then-uploaded-
