Is it possible to generate an enrolment with no unit start/end dates

We just have a few concerns about dates not being updated alongside outcomes and were wondering if there was an option to have no start/end dates generate when enrolling a student into units (ie. specifically for units with the N.R. Not Reportable to AVETMISS outcome).
