Archived Assessments - Make it so can no longer enrol
When we archive an assessment we need to to not be available for new enrolments into that assessment.
Usually Archive means no longer live and as such shouldn't allow new enrolments (unless it was reactivated)
For example we noticed an error in an assessment (or need to update due to a new release of the unit) that can not be fixed through editing. We would archive the old assessment (duplicate it) edit what we needed and republish with mapping / lesson plan / attach to class etc. The problem lies when we have a new student in that class it then shows 2 assessments that the learner can enrol in which could lead to confusion and errors.
Note: We use classes to manage our apprentices - one class per qual/trainer. It would be really unmanageable to have to create new classes and transfer learners into the new class if we cannot get the archive to work as a true archive - no longer available for new enrolments in this assessment

I hadn't come across this yet but just tested it and found that the archived assessment didn't really indicate it was archived.
I totally agree it should indicate on the enrolment page or in the class that the assessment has been archived.
I just tested it and can still add an archived assessment to an assessment plan with no indication it is archived.
I wouldn't want existing enrolments to be cancelled or closed down but I'd want it to at least have some kind of indication that an assessment is archived so people can pick up on this when enrolling new students.

Totally agree Philippa. Anyone who is currently in the assessment would continue with their enrolment but any new ones wouldn't be able to have the archived assessment. I can see this getting really messy if you can have multiples of them available
I think this is a major oversight.

I also have the same issue. Even with the new version published, both versions are still available for enrollment. Students who enrolled online are encountering issues accessing the new version because they are getting enrolled on either the old version or both versions. We are also hoping that our issue with the online quiz will be resolved soon. It's giving incorrect marking even if all the answers are correct.
