Hiding resources for specific courses in learner portal

Is it possible to add some functionality to the learner portal that would allow you to hide the resources and/or Assessments tab, for specific courses? E.g. The majority of our courses have resources and assessments but for RPL they don't. It would be handy to be able to hide the resources for all our RPL courses so the student can't see them.
