Online assessment not attached to a unit
AnsweredIs it possible to have a section or assessment where a learner can submit additional evidence / upload videos etc that isnt directly attached to a unit. we have a number of apprentices that would submit different evidence (allowing for flexibility) for example copies of audit reports, videos of them working in a biosecurity environment etc.
Not all students would do the exact same thing meaning we couldnt create it as an assessment linked to a specific unit as we done want all students to get it
This would work well when a student needs to submit copies of things they collate over a period such as pre-start check sheets, operational checks etc

Hi Amelia
I have the following suggestions from the team:
- Use an internal unit (which does not get reported in any way) and enrol only students who need to provide such evidence
- Create a generic "upload" assessment and link it to every Unit of Competency in the Class, so it shows up as a general assessment
- Create a stand-alone assessment instance so it's not linked to anything, and then select the specific students who need to complete it. This would require manually creating the standalone assessment enrolments, since the assessment wouldn't be at all associated with a training instance.
Allowing evidence upload for trainees and apprenticeships will be streamlined via the Work-Based Learning App, which is still very much on the cards. Unfortunately, it has been delayed due to COVID-19 impacts, however we have recently resumed work on this feature.
Hopefully this helps.
Kind Regards
Mark
