Assessments - creating a question type for file uploads

For some of our assessments our students are required to complete projects, where they may sketch their ideas, which need to be attached to their assessments. The assessment types that allow file uploads are written assessment, observation, RPL Evidence, or Marking Criteria - none of these types allow for multiple choice questions.

 

I think it would be beneficial to add a question type that allows students to upload documentation into the quiz (or into the other assessment types)

  Yes. This would make it much easier to design assessments.

  Not every file upload assessment task needs the text box answer that the RPL Evidence type has. A lot of our assessments comprise of several short answer questions (or other question types) with a single file upload requirement at the end of the task.

  I think it would be easiest if all assessment question/task types could be added to a single assessment so we have to flexibility to create assessments in any format that work for us, rather than having to create multiple assessments across each of the different question/task types.
