Contact number
AnsweredI understand contact number generate automatically and the number is unique nationwide.
To reduce the length of contact digits aXcelerate can introduce new format as XYZ0000
The first three letters can identify to the organisation and the rest following numbers can identify their clients or students.

Good morning Benipal,
Thank you for your post into our Ideas Forum.
You are correct, the Contact ID is unique system-wide and is the number used to reference the contact record in the database. Almost all records across the aXcelerate system will point back to this single Contact ID.
Depending on how you would like to use your style of 'contact digits', you could utilise the 'Optional ID' field against each contact and use that value in other areas of the system (reports, templates etc). You can also search for contacts based on the contents of this field. This would be useful if you were looking to have a reference to this contact in an external system.
As always, we will leave your post here to gather the thoughts of other aXcelerate community members.
Kind regards,
Rod.Comment actions
