AVETMISS state and postcode fields for international students
For international students, where the funding source is specified in their enrolment as '30 - international full fee paying student', the AVETMISS report must show that the student's state is '99' and the postcode is 'OSPC'.
In order to avoid the errors in AVETMISS submission, we must edit the student's address in their contact page like this

The problem is then that we cannot use these fields for mail outs or on documents.
Can we please have a tick box in the address section that says something like "Student's usual address is overseas", which would then trigger the correct AVETMISS data?
I believe Vettrak has something like this.

I would like to add to this, we are required to make sure that an international students australian address is kept current. The problem we encounter is when they have a postal address different to to their Australian residential address we no longer have a place to record their Australian residential address.
As aXc is aware the "Permanent Street Address" is where a student comes from, and not a temporary semester/term address. Overseas students would have an overseas country as their permanent home residence. So we cant stick the students aust address in that spot.
We cant use the postal address because the student has a different postal address to their australian residential address.
Before you recommend the "Term Address", this wont work as this area cant be pulled in reports/merge emails.
Even though our situation is a little different to what Michael has mentioned, we too have issues with the current setup of addresses (for international students) in aXc because we cant pull the information we need in our email mailouts.
Recommendation:
There needs to be another area/field for the local/Australian address in addition to the current Postal, Permanent and Term Address. Or change a few functions of the Term address so we can make use of that field. I think that may be a way to help both Michael and us.
