Custom Field - Choosing the default
It would be really useful to be able to have the choice to select a DEFAULT field for a custom field
aXcelerate has some great reporting, especially around the custom field we have built. One challenge we have found though is that the Custom field DEFAULT in the system is --select-- which in reporting terms is to select a field that has "no Value"

So in the example above; a Student Contact enters the system via online enrolments (automated) and by default --select-- sits in the background. (not touched by human at this stage) Only when we receive notice that the post enrolment has been received that we manually change our status to in progress, waitlisted (depending if details are outstanding like photo ID or payments) or of course complete if we have all details and they are good to go.
If we want to run a report to get an idea of where everyone in the system (but do NOT want to see Complete) for enrolments this month we have to run TWO separate reports as we cannot select the 4x drop down status. If you select has no value it removes all other field and if you select the 4 fields it eliminates any the have the default as --select--

Just like in the System settings > Initial Competency Status you can set the default to for example CA - Continuing activity (70)
It would be really useful when building custom fields that you could select a default (maybe not for all types). Select, radio buttons & checkbox for example would be two that this would be useful for.
