Formatting of course notes

Is it possible to get some basic formatting of course notes such as the ability to make points rather than it being one continuous note?

  You can by using the keyboard shortcut :) for example: putting the 'break' shortcut (with no spaces) < BR >  you'll just have to add the pojnt or - I don't think you can put a bullet
