Permissions for Tasks

I have found the permissions are quite restrictive regarding the tasking system. In order for our admin support staff to be able to create a manual task within the workshop task tab they had to have add/update access to automated tasks. It would be helpful if permissions allowed for users to be able to create themselves a workshop task from within the workshop without having to have permissions to the automated tasks as well.
