WordPress Plugin- Document Upload
If a student doesn't click upload then we don't receive their ID. This is a real common occurrence for us and students and organisations get really irate with us when we tell them that we haven't received their ID.
There are three solutions to this issue. Our preference in order is 3, 2 and then 1.
1. Provide some sort of visual clue (e.g. changing the colour of the button) that would prompt a student to know that they need to upload the document after having attached it. At the moment this doesn't exist, and there's no way of knowing if you have or haven't uploaded the ID after selecting/attaching it.
2. If a document is attached, enforce the document to be uploaded before the student can proceed. I would also provide a visual clue (option 1) if this solution was implemented.
3. Remove the upload step. The submission of the form or moving to the next step would automatically upload the document. This would work in a similar fashion to attaching a file to a contact note in axcelerate. i.e. when attaching a file to a contact note the file is automatically uploaded and saved when the user clicks "Add Note". There's not a middle step here to upload the file after selecting it and before clicking "Add Note".
