Trainers who only hold 'some' required units of competency
Interested to see if there is anything that can be done to tighten the compliance around creating workshops and selecting trainers who only hold some of the required units of competency for a linked class.
We have just had an instance where a trainer was booked and delivered a course where he held one of the two required units of competency. This is a potential non-compliance and I feel it can too easily have slipped through. Is there anything that can be done to flag that an additional trainer is required or even a warning message that the trainer is only competent to train and asses in one of the units so that it is clearer to the administrator who is entering the workshop.
Aside from internal controls how else do other RTO's manage this?

We too have experienced recently the same situation where a trainer was assigned and delivered a course but only had some not all the units of competency. We would like to see the option for choosing a trainer be locked to only those who can train and assess all units of competency.
This is a massive compliance issue that is open to human error in the current system and should be further looked into.
